Letter Campaign
Our letter campaign event on August 18th has been pretty successful. We had 16 athletes write letters to friends & family asking for support thru donations. Approximately 150 letters were sent out.
Donations have been coming in everyday thru mail & paypal. We greatly appreciate our friends & family for supporting our athletes and getting us closer to our over all fundraising goal of $20,000.
Parents also showed up to feed the kids after an early morning pool practice. We had bacon, eggs, hashbrowns (all the kids love trader joes hashbrowns) muffins, donuts & drinks.
As you can see from the photos parents jumped in to give pointer to the athletes as they wrote quick notes to their friends & family, a little learning on actually addressing snail mail and of course much fun had by all. Thank you to all that participated.
It was a hot day but our athletes got out there & pounded the pavement. Athletes visited business around town giving their fundraising pitch. The kids visited the following: Miller Lumber, Les Schwab, El Sancho, Costco, Pahlisch Homes, Podski, Subaru of Bend, Washington Trust Bank, Whole Foods, NY Subs, Autry 4 Seasons, Backporch Coffee, Bend Express Lube, Dough Nut, Sea Horse, Emerald City, Los Jalepenos, Lulu Lemon, Cyclebar, Pizza Mondo, FootZone, Outside In, Title Nine,Miyagi Ramen, Westside Barber Shop, Immersion Brewing, Gear Fix & Taste of Thai. Our Athletes were repectful & did a great job explaining our fundraising needs. We hope that all these businesses will get back to us & help support the community that supports them.
Big shout-out to Taste of Thai who wrote a $100 check on the spot, Please support them as they did our Water Polo Program.

Great Job Lava Bears!
Lava Bears working hard this summer. Athletes came out in the hot hot sun and washed cars to help fundraise for our $20,000 goal. One day at a time and one athlete amongst a team will get it done.
Last weekend's car was was a success! The kids worked really hard & earned $800! Checkout the photos & see you at the Letter Writing Campaign.
First car wash was a success. We had 7 athletes wash cars & we raised $405.00. We want to thank the Shell Gas Station for allowing us to use their facility & water for this fundraiser. Also, a big Thank You to our athletes: Ella, Jackson, Makai, Andres, Clair, Brody & Brenna for being such good sports. & shout out to Coach Griffin for bringing the new banner, pop up tent for some much needed shade & hanging with the team. Thank you to all the people who stopped by to get their car washed or just gave a cash donation. See you at the next car wash Sat, July 30th same time same place.
